3rd Grade Market Day

3rd Grade Market Day

On December 18th third grade students at Central Intermediate School participated in Market Day.  Students were able to apply what they have learned about economic principles like supply and demand, wants and needs, scarcity and its effect on prices, and competition. Students sold their goods to others students and teachers.  They also shopped as consumers at classmates’ booths with classroom currency they earned. There were wrapping stations available for the children to get their purchases wrapped so they could use them as Christmas presents. Everyone had a blast!
