CIS Students Learn Sportsmanship Skills

Students at Central Intermediate School have been very busy throughout the fall semester! They have completed physical fitness pre-tests while learning about the four components of physical fitness: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility. They have participated in several large group games that focus on outcomes such as sportsmanship and teamwork while promoting age appropriate skill development. Some of our favorite fall games are Critter Ball, CIS Battle Ball, Snowball Slingshot, and Knights and Catapults.  In the spring, we plan to learn about basketball, badminton, Frisbee, and Tchoukball skills. We will finish the school year off with physical fitness post-tests to measure student growth.
