Do you know the characterisitics of a civilization? Well, our 5th graders do! They put their research skills to the test to determine if their assigned indigenious culture was an example of a civilization. Throughout their research, they learned about their tribes culture, geography, architecture, and so much more. Students created artifacts to represent their tribe as well as a slideshow to present their findings.
5th Graders got to attend a Moment of Science presented by the Rittell family! Students got to enjoy dry ice koolaid and liquid nitrogen ice cream. During the Moment of Science, students were able to make connections with content learned throughout Module 1 like physical and chemical changes, expanding and compressing gases and so much more. We are grateful for the amazing opportunity that Mrs. Rittell and her family provided for our young scientists!
There is a lot going on in the CIS Library! Check out who has already completed some challenges.
