Job Posting: Supervisor of Child Nutrition
The Central Community School System is seeking a Supervisor of Child Nutrition to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring our students receive nutritious, high-quality, and safe meals each day.
Position Overview:
The Supervisor of Child Nutrition provides leadership, guidance, and technical assistance in all areas of school nutrition, including food production, sanitation, safety, and equipment. This position will oversee operations in all Central Community School System schools and lead the district’s summer feeding programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and incorporate a World-Class menu
Provide direction, instruction, and technical assistance to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
Supervise food service operations at all school sites
Participate in professional development opportunities and attend staff meetings
Oversee and manage summer feeding programs
Maintain accurate records and reports while ensuring confidentiality

The CIS Library Leaders visited House of Grace to share some holiday cheer. Students brought gifts, sang carols, and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.

The students at CIS connected virtually with Matthew Swanson and Robbi Behr, author and illustrator of Ben Yokoyama and the Cookie of Doom. Tickets were drawn and many students received a free Ben Yokoyama book. This visit created a lasting impression on our students, inspiring many of them to pursue creative endeavors and connect with the written word in new ways.

CIS Beta completed their annual service project at Bellingrath and Tanglewood. Students visited classrooms to read to a Christmas story. They delivered candy canes and crafts for each student to do.

5th Grade took a trip to the Myrtles in St. Francisville. Students were able to explore the house, the grounds, and the coffee shop.

Fourth grade students attended the Revolutionary War Living History Day at Audubon State Historic Site. Students visited stations and engaged in activities to learn about life during that time. We had a blast!
